Preparing People For Life!

Men with Vision

Bethel Church Men of Purpose is a Christ centered ministry committed to uniting men into vital relationships with God and each other through outreach, evangelism, pastoral care, discipling, and training in ways that are unique to men. Our desire to be help men to become the godly servant leaders that our Lord has called us to be. We believe that as the man goes, so goes the family, church, community, nation, and world.

Men of Action

Vision without action is meaningless. The Bethel Men of Purpose are dedicated to helping the people in our church and community. We want to put our vision and our love for people into action. Men by nature are “doers.” They feel most significant when they are able to do something to help other people. We currently have several initiatives we are working on:

  • New Commandment Men’s Ministry (Respond to the needs of widows, orphans, disabled, and single moms in the church)
  • Car Care Clinic (Designed to help people understand and perform basic car maintenance.)
  • Special Outings with Revolution Youth Teen Boys

Developing Vital Relationships

Spiritual and Relational/Recreational

To develop these vital relationships, we must address the spiritual as well as the relational/recreational needs of men. To that end Bethel Men of Purpose is taking action in the following areas to help men develop and grow in Christ and as men of integrity.

  • Men’s Connect Groups (Issues specific to men)
  • Prayer Partners (Discipling and Accountability)
  • Mentoring (Every man a mentor)
  • Conferences (Local and National)
  • Recreational Outings (Fishing, golfing, hunting, etc.)

There is currently a group of men who meet each week on Tuesday mornings from 6:30am to 7:15am for prayer and Bible study. The group is currently meeting at the Braums Store in Choctaw on (14205 NE 23rd St. Choctaw, OK.)

Here are a few pics from one of our current projects.  Helping one of our care receivers by “re-cladding” her house with new siding.  The condition of the old siding was very poor.  This should last her for “decades!”

  1. Keith, when I see the work of this ministry I think of what this would have meant to my Mom and all of us in those years after Daddy died and my brother was gone to find work in California. SOOO many things that were away too hard for Mom that she did anyway. We did have some wonderful neighbors that helped us many times. Thanks and be blessed.
